My name is Athanasios and my surname is Papadopoulos. That is a very typical Greek surname if you do not know that already 
Allow me to introduce my self.
In a few words…I was born and raised in Thessaloniki – Greece.
I have been awarded a Masters degree in photography from a British university and I have won numerous photographic awards in wedding photography and also in travel photography.
Apart from being an event photographer, I also help people to design their elopements in Santorini and Greece.
Selected as one of the worlds top 10 destination wedding photographers of year 2011 and 2020 (“Brides” magazine “Conde Nast Travellers”) and one of the top 100 international wedding photographers for continuous years by “wedding photographers society”!
During a Wedding day, people experience intense moments and I am there to record them and describe them with my photographic images. I do not interfere and try to be «transparent» and capture the moment, the feeling, the expression, the situation!
The only photographic session at which I interfere during the day and give instructions and directions is when I am left alone with the couple in order to have their wedding portraits, which I name «Creatively Directed Wedding Portraits”.
Therefore my photographic style and aesthetics is a mixture of “Wedding Photojournalism” and “Creatively Directed Wedding Portraits”.
I mainly photograph in Greece and especially Santorini. As an International wedding photographer I am available on wedding assignments worldwide.
The last few years I help people to design their elopements in Santorini or other Greek destinations. Perhaps the best way to describe that service would be “Do It Yourself according to your wishes and needs”….DIY Elopement”!!
