Instagram, social media and wedding photography
We, wedding photographers, have adjusted our photography in order to be compatible with the new trends.
Aesthetics, filters and most importantly the square format of presentation are a few elements that (mainly but not only) instagram has “forced” us to consider or even apply while we create a photographic project.
Is that good or bad?
No good nor bad…it is just what it is!
Photography (wedding photography as well) is changing almost every decade if not every few years.
The big difference
The big difference nowadays is the use of square format cropping.
All wedding photographers are now using the square format cropping at the post processing and editing.
Many wedding photographers, we have this element at the back of our head while photographing.
Instagram and wedding photographs
All professional participants request photographs from the wedding so that they can use them in instagram in order to show and promote their work.
All brides and grooms would love to have a few amazing photographs from their wedding, to communicate them with their friends and family.

Lets admit it, we love to deliver social media and instagram “friendly” wedding images to all the above.
Unless of course there is no consent from the couple 🙂
