Mykonos wedding photographer. Wedding photography portfolio of a wedding day at Mykonos island in Greece. As a Greek wedding and event photographer one of the places that I photograph at is of course Mykonos.
Mykonos is always considered to be as one of the top destinations worldwide for wedding photography, engagement photography, anniversary photography and wedding portraits photo session!

This is a very (and please underline the word very) sentimental wedding that took place at Mykonos!
Very sentimental is Carlas and Deriks story, how they met, their background and their life, before and after they met!
Interesting story as well! I know that you want to hear it (read it in that case) but hey, these stories are personal….. so, I am sorry, we will just stick to the wedding days story 🙂
I can only say that, Derik saw Carla, Carla saw Derik, a sparkle in their eyes and then they got married at Mykonos!!
Do I forget something? Oh yes, bowling…that is where they met, at a bowling place!

The wedding at Mykonos island
Carla had been at Mykonos before and obviously she liked the island! Who would not like this amazing place?
So, when they decided that it seemed a good idea not to get married at Oregon USA but at a more exotic destination, Mykonos appeared as one of the top choices and won!!
They travelled with their kids and a few very good friends and their relatives. People from Oregon, Idaho, Alaska and some other states of USA landed at the exotic island for the wedding!

Three villas at agios Ioannis area (Saint Johns) accommodated the company of thirty people and the wedding took place at the new “mykonos art villas”.

The day before – “wedding portraits” photo session
The day before, we had a “wedding portraits” photo session at Mykonos hora, starting from the main Mykonos trademark, the windmills. Then strolling within the narrow alleys and stoping at certain spots to be photographed and ending our session at the other side of Mykonos town at a nice restaurant having a very tasty dinner, going through all the details of their wedding day! After our dinner Derik’s brother was waiting for them at the other side of the town with their car in order to take them back to their villa. I offered to guide them so that they would go quicker and guess what…….I got lost!!! I still wonder how did that happen 🙂 , I guess the labyrinth style architecture, that was used at Cyclades complex islands in order to avoid the Pirates many years ago, it works!!! We made a few circles before finding our way. The only problem was that Carla was still wearing her high hills and I guess women know better what that means … I am so sorry Carla 🙂 !!

The wedding day
Next day, me and the videographer arrived at their villa and captured their preparation, the wedding ceremony, family and group of people photographs, a few more portraits of Carla and Derik, details, speeches and fireworks!!
That was a sentimental day, both Carla and Derik, their families and friends were full of feelings! Joy, happiness, tears, expressions!!
It was obvious that everybody was sharing and experiencing intense moments!
Carla and Derik are exceptional people and so were their families and guests!
I honestly send them my best wishes…..
