Day 1
One of the Greek islands that I operate as a wedding photographer is the island of Mykonos.
I was honoured to photograph this beautiful wedding!
We started our photography project with the “getting ready” session. This set of images is a mixture of photojournalistic style, still life images and directed photography.
Continued with a religious Christian Catholic ceremony photographic coverage. Wedding photojournalism at the ceremony and group of people, friends and family set photography.
Finished our day with wedding reception and party photography. Wedding photojournalistic style, group of people, friends and family set photography, alternative photographic techniques.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Catholic church of Panagia tou Rodariou at Hora of Mykonos. That is very close to the trademarks of Mykonos, the windmills and little Venice.
Wedding reception and Party was held at Saint John Hotel Villas and Spa.

What a question…simply, because they are in love and they decided to get married!!

Day 2
Next day I picked up Daniel and Rebecca from their hotel and we started our wedding portraits photo session. That was a photo tour really, started from the windmills and walked around the alleys and small traditional plazas, little Venice and more. A wedding photography walking photo tour. Then drove all the way to the lighthouse and nearby less visited beaches.

and here is their story
In a few and quick words…
“Daniel and Rebecca met on the 1st May 2016 at a 1920s themed Brunch club in the U.K. when they were placed on the same table along with their best friends. They were both seriously dressed to impress and definitely caught each others eyes. There was lots of drinking, dancing, and a couple of kisses, but Rebecca managed to resist Daniel’s charm that night.
After the event, they chatted on Facebook and went on their first date on 14th May 2016 in Leicester. They shared a nice meal and conversation, it was obvious there was a spark between them. However, although they discussed meeting again, they didn’t arrange a second date as they were both at different stages in their lives and knew the timing wasn’t quite right.

Daniel went travelling to Australia but still kept in touch with Rebecca here and there with a bit of instagram stalking, seeing her in some exceptionally tasty swimsuits, thinking he’d missed his chance.
Daniel returned from Australia in December 2016 with a plan to save some money and potentially move out there. However in February 2017, he shared a post on Instagram stating ‘I want a person who comes into my life by accident and stays on purpose’, and this struck a chord with Rebecca so she liked it and got back in touch with Daniel.
After cancelling on Daniel a couple more times, finally Rebecca agreed to a second date which took place on 10th March 2017, and this is when things began to move. Daniel decided he wanted Rebecca and was going to do what was necessary to make her his lady. After numerous dates, wining and dining, flowers delivered to her work, a Craig David concert, and another brunch club with friends on 30th April 2017, they booked a weekend away to Barcelona on 19th May 2017, and whilst they were there they became a Facebook official couple.

Daniel and Rebecca already had holidays booked with their friends for that year, Daniel went away to Marbella and sent Rebecca flowers to let her know she was on his mind. Rebecca went on a Mediterranean party cruise which stopped off at places including Santorini and Mykonos. Being apart for the first time, she missed Daniel a lot and couldn’t wait to be reunited on 20th June 2017. Daniel was a real gentleman and made Rebecca feel like the most special girl in the world, and so that night when Daniel whispered ‘I love you’, Rebecca whispered it back.
Their second holiday was planned for September 2017 to Mykonos. It was the perfect place for couples with romantic meals, and amazing views watching the sunset. They fell in love with the place.

Upon their return to the UK, Rebecca moved to London to live with Daniel.
Daniel knew he had found the one in Rebecca, not only did they have so much fun together, they also shared the same values and Rebecca was great with his son Marley. She was absolutely beautiful and gave him butterflies.

Early in 2018 after getting approval from Rebecca’s father, Daniel planned his engagement proposal to Rebecca. Whilst they were on holiday in America which was initially just to go to the Coachella festival, Daniel decided to make it a once in a lifetime holiday and take her to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando and Miami. Whilst they were in Las Vegas, he whisked her away on a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon and surprised her with a ring. It was the sparkliest thing Rebecca had ever seen, and of course she said yes.
They decided to make 2018 their ‘party year’ so they did lots of celebrating and Rebecca booked them a weekend away to Brussels for Tomorrowland festival, the biggest dance festival in the world.

They were very keen to tie the knot and both knew exactly where they wanted to get married – Mykonos! They took a trip out there to view some venues. They found a little Catholic Church by the sea, and after visiting Saint John Hotel they both knew it was the perfect reception venue so they secured the date for 27th May 2019.
They planned their special day over the next 11 months but didn’t anticipate how hard it would be to arrange a wedding abroad themselves, the communication and response time made it challenging. However they hope that they have pulled it off and that their guests love Mykonos as much as they do.
May really is their month, Roll on Mykonos!”
