Sifnos wedding photography. Wedding photography portfolio of a wedding day at Sifnos island in Greece. As a Greek wedding and event photographer one of the places that I photograph at is of course Sifnos.

Sifnos is a beautiful, unique and less known destination for wedding photography, engagement photography, anniversary photography and wedding portraits photo session!
These are the images of a Greek destination wedding which took place at Sifnos,
Fotini and Apostolos selected me to be their wedding photographer since the first time we had a conversation regarding their wedding photography at a Wedding Exhibition show.
Sifnos, a Cycladic island
Sifnos is a well known and wonderful Greek island that belongs to the famous Cyclades island complex.
Fotini and Apostolos decided to have their wedding at Sifnos at the «seven marters» little church, which is situated just below «Kastro» village.
The wedding was simple and traditional, just 75 guests in the company of the sun, the blue sky and sea, the white walls and the blue house roofs…elements for which the Cyclades island complex is famous for.
Two musicians escorted first the groom and later the bride, from their apartments and all the way to the chapel. Village people and even tourists mixed with the guests and went down, all the steps that lead to the “seven marters” small temple.
We had a “wedding portraits” photo session next day at “kastro” village.

The main town, near the center, known as Apollonia ), is home of the island’s folklore museum and library. The town’s name is thought to come from an ancient temple of Apollo on the site of the church of Panayia Yeraniofora. The second-largest town is Artemonas, thought to be named after an ancient temple of Apollo’s sister-goddess Artemis, located at the site of the church of Panayia Kokhi. The village of Kastro (118), was the capital of the island during ancient times until 1836. It is built on top of a high cliff on the island’s east shore and today has extensive medieval remains and is the location of the island’s archeological museum. The port settlement, on the west coast of the island is known as Kamares
